The English Cocker Spaniel's Breeding Conditions for the Czech Republic
Male
- 1. Dogs without any Working Tests - joining of at least two shows after 12 months of age (one of the shows must be of the higher type – i.e. the International, National, Club or Special show) with the results minimally Excellent + Very Good.
- 2. Dogs with the Working Test - joining of at least one show after 12 months of age with the result minimally Very Good + any succesfully passed Working Test
Bitches
- 1. Dogs without any Working Tests - joining of at least two shows after 12 months of age (one of the shows must be of the higher level – i.e. the International, National, Club or Special show) with the results minimally 2 x Very Good
- 2. Dogs with the Working Test - one show after 12 months of age with result minimally Very Good + working test
Both male and bitch
- Teeth (valid from 1. 5. 2007). The one tooth's absence (P1 or M3) is tolerable. One of the litter parents must be always of complete teeth.
The age for breeding classification and using for breed
- Both male and bitch 14 months and 1 day at least.
- No more than 8 years for bitch (from the date of birth), for males without limits.
The HD Testing
- The X-ray test of canine hip dysplasia is necessary to be undertaken after finishing of 12 months of age.
- Every dog must be X-rayed and its results evaluated by a certified vet before breed classification.
- It's recommended not to mate two dogs with positive results (i.e. score C and upward C).
- It's also recommended that one parents should have been tested for FN and PRA with the "clear" result.

Breeding submission
- send the original of pedigree, original judge reports from two shows (a state of teeth must be staten in report or in the pedigree)
- original HD test score, proof of Club membership (copy of postal order)
- aptly the original Working test table (in case of possibility 2)
- and alternatively also the ophthalmology test result (not obligatory)
